The era of globalization exerts a real variety of influences in life. The rapid development of technology is one of the influences of globalization. The rapid development of globalization facilitates cooperation between countries. Establishing cooperation globally requires good communication skills. The use of good language is key to creating in line communication. Language has become a means of communication in conveying the purpose in order to be accepted by others. Language can be said to be an asset in survival.
Facing global promiscuity requires one to learn English. English has been established as an international language since the 20th century. Therefore, learning English becomes an important need to face intense global competition. There are many ways to learn English in this era. However, stuttering foreign languages, especially English is still homework for Indonesia. An astounding fact for our country.
Indonesia has a large population of about 260 million people. 4th largest in the word. A large population does not determine the quality of human resources. A sentence that can give a real slap. Facts that can be seen from human resources are minimal with expertise. Lack of expertise in various sectors. The lack of English skills of Indonesian people is one of the less optimal skills possessed by human resources. A survey conducted by the English Proficiency Index in 2020 shows that Indonesia is in the position of 74 out of 100 countries that are not native speakers. Indonesia lost to neighboring countries such as 10th-placed Singapore and 27th-placed Philippines.
Indonesia is over 70 years old, but still has a lot of homework to overcome. Low English skills require the right solution. Beloved countries are often left behind from other countries even with neighboring countries. The bitter reality that must be accepted and the need to make changes. In this case it raises speculation and big question marks: how can Indonesia compete with other countries in terms of human resources? Will Indonesia’s human resources always be left behind with other countries? The problem must be urgent to find a solution.
Big brain of a human into two parts between the other parts of the left brain and right brain. The two hemispheres have different functions. The left brain of the human has the function of logic, the ability to write, read and center of mathematics. As with the right brain. The right brain functions as the development of Emotional Quotient (EQ), socialization, communication, interaction and blends the expression of the body as well as singing and dancing. Therefore, the right brain can be utilized for the method in reducing stuttering in a foreign language. Then, how to use the right brain as a method to reduce stuttering in a foreign language?
The right learning method is able to make a solution. Solution to improve English skills in Indonesia. The right method will provide convenience to achieve the goal. All learning methods can be used to convey the material is determined by the characteristics. Learning methods can be interpreted as a common way to convey the material or apply the theory that has been given to obtain learning objectives ((Fred Percival and Henry Ellington, 1984)
The right-brain to learn the English language is not a new method in Indonesia. However there are some people who still don’t know so it is considered as a new method. Learning English with the method of the right brain can be done such as memorizing 16 tenses while singing along with the movements, memorizing the irregular verb with a tone and much more. It could be the solution to improve the ability of English in Indonesia. This method is more efficient, fun and makes learning English is easier. All can be run to get the expected results when applying English language in everyday life.
So, it can be concluded that the ability of English language in Indonesia is still low. The need for methods that can be used as a solution to overcome these problems. One solution is the method of learning English using the right brain. There is no harm in trying this method to improve the ability. Learning English will be fun and the progress is positive. English will be easy when you know the correct learning techniques. In addition, a sense of optimism from within each individual must be developed to motivate achieving goals.
